Three Easy Ways to Jumpstart Your Weight Loss Now

The Key To Lasting Weight Loss

The key to successful and lasting weight loss is making permanent dietary changes that you can stick with long-term.

However, if you are like most people, just the thought of revamping your whole diet in order to lose weight is probably enough to make you quit before you even start. It doesn’t have to be so daunting, though.

In this article I reveal three super easy, but highly effective habits you can implement today that will jump start your weight loss without leaving you feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

1. Cleanse Your Liver Daily with Warm Lemon Water

Drinking warm lemon water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning has been shown to activate the body’s cleansing and detoxifying process and jumpstarts your metabolism. It is also a healthy and safe way to keep your liver clean and ready to process the foods you eat.

Your liver is primarily responsible for assimilating fats, so the better your liver functions, the better your body will metabolize fats.

Upon rising, before eating or drinking anything else:

  1. Warm up 16 oz. of water on the stove (make sure it’s warm, not hot)
  2. Squeeze in the juice of one whole lemon
  3. Sip on it, waiting 30 minutes before eating breakfast

You can also add in a dash of cayenne pepper to really kick start your metabolism if you’d like.

2. Drink 1 Green Smoothie a Day

Green smoothies are a great way to reduce your sugar intake. Sugar is an enormous obstacle to losing fat and getting a lean physique. Eliminating sugar is one of the secrets to quick and successful weight loss.

So instead of drastically cutting out sugar all at once and overwhelming yourself, why not just start with breakfast?

If you are like most people, you may not realize that you are eating too much sugar for breakfast. Sugar hides in many so-called healthy breakfast foods, such as cold cereal and milk, yogurt with fruit, or even whole grain breakfast bars.

Drinking a green smoothie is a much better breakfast choice. Smoothies are easy to make, they taste great, and they will give you the energy boost you need without the coffee. And if you add a little fruit to your smoothie, that will take care if any sugar cravings you may be having.

The really great thing about green smoothies is that they are extremely nutrient dense and high in fiber, while at the same time being low in calories. This means that not only do they fill you up and keep you satisfied, but they give you the caloric reduction you need for weight loss as well.

In her book, The Beauty Detox Solution, Kimberly Snyder relates the experience of one of her clients, a woman, who needed to lose twenty pounds. This woman was very busy, always on the go, and often ate lunch sitting at her desk and take out for dinner. Sound familiar?

Well, Kimberly started her on her signature Glowing Green Smoothie for breakfast every single day. Within three months, the woman lost 17 pounds.

3. Replace Your Cooking Oils with Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil

Processed, refined cooking oils are very hard for the body to digest and utilize. As a result, the undigested waste from these oils gets stored as fat in the body, which ultimately causes weight gain.

Organic unrefined coconut oil, on the other hand, is a medium chain triglyceride. This is key, because not only can your body completely break down and use it for energy, but coconut oil is shown to actually decrease body fat (source).

It’s very easy to add coconut oil to your diet. Just replace your current cooking oil with it. It performs very well at high temperatures, and it tastes fantastic. Try scrambling your eggs with a little coconut oil and red pepper and onions, or putting a tablespoon of it in your green smoothie. YUM! My favorite coconut oil happens to be Tropical Traditions, but you can use any you like, so long as it is organic, unrefined virgin coconut oil.

Successful weight loss starts with creating new habits that you can stick with on a long term basis. Making these three small changes will get you off to a great start and will go a long way in helping you achieve your weight loss goals.
